Samantha + Aaron

Moments to Memories...

Samantha reached out a few months before her big day to let me know that she was still searching for videography for her October wedding in Connecticut. I was excited to connect with her because their wedding date was the last open date we had left for that month.  If you aren't aware, October is one of our peak season months and since we are traveling for about 85%+ of our events, we're typically out of town back to back for 4-6 weeks in a row. So, it was already a crazy month but we were willing to have them help us wrap it up. On October 1st we were in New York, October 7th New Hampshire, October 14th South Carolina, October 21st South Carolina again and then we wrapped up the month with them in Connecticut on October 28th before heading back to New York and South Carolina again. So, if you are interested in booking with us, just know our peak months usually book out fast and we are traveling all over the place!

We all were in for a great as they got the last of the beautiful fall foliage! Usually by November where we live all of the pretty leaves are gone from the trees and everything is brown and gray. The landscape footage Bradley captured was nothing short of astonishing. We didn't bring out the drone for this one but had we - the overhead view would've been out of this world as well. They chose this sweet venue called The Glastonbury Hills Country Club in Glastonbury, Connecticut! My favorite part of this venue is the option to have an outdoor wedding with an indoor reception that has perfect lighting! What more could we ask for as filmmakers? Just a lovely couple to pair

Getting ready moments for Samantha was nothing short of sentiment. Her dress hanging in the window was stunning and her little personal trinkets were styled beautifully.

Samantha and her bridesmaids were too cute. Years from now when they look back at their wedding photos in an album, I believe they'll be smiling at the good times they had. We also always love to get the mother-of-the-bride or someone of a similar caliber to help the bride button or zip the dress. It's those moments that become memories you never want to forget as the years pass. I'm glad we could be there to capture these.

Following her getting ready session, Samantha was able to do a first look with her bridesmaids inside and then a first look with Aaron outdoors. Both first looks were refreshing as you could tell how delighted they were to see her in her dress.

This is the moment we've all been waiting for! The time it takes to plan and execute a wedding is unmatched. The dedication of the bride, and groom, both wedding parties and all vendors including the venue's personnel, is immaculate. So, when we finally make it to the ceremony, it is the most calm feeling knowing all of the planning has officially unraveled. It was a beautiful ceremony, and they were so happy!

The reception space by nightfall was very warm, with calm vibes and a bit dreamy. The bridesmaids actually had a cute dance for the entrance and they all seemed upbeat. Samantha and Aaron shared their first dance and Bradley captured the cake-cutting before his exit. Everything was decorated so nicely and the evening went smoothly.

We don't attend many weddings with live painters, but I love it. It's impressive how they can begin painting what they see and be done by the end of the evening. It is a lovely painting to be able to hang in your home as a reminder of one of the of the best days of your life. This painting was done by Coley and she was so sweet to reach out to me letting me know that she was going to take a brief video of the first dance so she could paint it. She was so professional and respectful in her communication not wanting to be in our way during that time. Vendors absolutely don't owe us anything when we are trying to capture professional video coverage; however, it is a good feeling when we can link arms like teammates. We always have a shoulder-to-shoulder approach so everyone is getting the coverage they need to get the job done they were hired for. We love this and her painting is adorable.
