Jess + Reed

They'll Just Dance the Night Away...

Is anyone in disbelief that I did NOT meet Jess on Facebook Messenger? Haha. If you've been following our blog then you know that's where the brides and I tend to hang out. Well, guys, this one was a bit different but when you know, you just know. They say a guy knows if he's going to marry a gal within six months of knowing or dating her. But WE say that a bride knows if she's going to hire a vendor within six minutes of connecting with them. Lol Jess reached out through email and was super sold on us being a great fit as a 'husband + wife duo.' So when she booked we were STOKED because they are the cutest!

Take me anywhere they have some Palm Trees, like YES PLEASE! We are from North Georgia, so no island vibes are going on over there. We were super happy once again to load up the car to drive down to Saint Simons Island, Georgia. This was a nice little drive southeast of where we live and we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, Brunswick GA. This time we didn't bring the baby, but we were in for a nice little three-day getaway. We are also really grateful to God that the weather forecast changed and that Hurricane Ian did not ruin this beautiful wedding weekend for Jess + Reed. The weather turned perfect!

So, the funnn initially started at the home of Jessica's family. When Bradley and I got there, I just about threw my bags when we walked up to the front and saw the dress already hanging in the doorway. Jess's dress was so breathtaking! And it's always nice to have the added anticipation from everyone wanting to see the bride in her dress.

Upon entering the home, I have to highlight the fact that Brad and I were greeted at the door by Jessica's sweet Grandmother. She gave us the THE MOST WARM HUG! I could tell it was totally a part of her love language and little did she know it was mine too (hold the tissues all)! Does this thing have the cry emoji? LOL So onto the beautiful outlay, you see. Heather crafted this together so perfectly and I was super happy to get all of the precious pieces on video for Jess! These are the sentiments that you can look back on forever!

Moving on along to the next fine part of the Day! We get to admire the beautiful event and union that is about to take place where Jess + Reed become one at the altar before God, family, and friends! They got married at Wesley United Methodist Church in St Simons. This church was beautiful inside AND out. We even met a familiar face from our area - totally a small world. Everyone was so happy and patiently waiting to see them!

Following the beautiful ceremony, we headed to the Avenue of the Oaks with the Newlyweds, family, and bridal party. Now this spot was an absolute gold mine for photography and videography! I also could not get over the beautiful willow trees. First of all, the bride and her bridesmaids are absolutely and utterly gorgeous in their dresses. This was so fun, seriously! Before we check out, I have to give a vendor shoutout to Heather, the photographer. Wedding videography and Photography are much different than what people may think. So, it's always our priority to be in sync with the photogs so that the day can go smoothly for everyone. Heather was super fun to chat with and work beside. She was amazing with her communication & very thorough with the time schedule. We can't wait to meet Tori, but it was nice to have Heather there with us!

Now it's party time!! The reception was held at the King + Prince Resort in Saint Simons, Island. It was stationed as a breathtaking view right on the water and we couldn't be happier to capture all of it on film. Palm trees galore! Just take it all in. The reception was decorated so finely. You guys KNOW that I was dying to document this all as usual!

Last but not least, we have to highlight the beautifully crafted and delicious tasting cake + desserts!! It was just all perfect and the decorations everywhere stood out on video!

Every couple that chooses us to capture their forever moments on film adds a notch to our 'blessing belt.' When planning a wedding, you choose to trust so many vendors who were usually once strangers and that says a lot. But, when we deliver films and couples tell us they LOVED IT and CRIED - it makes all of the pressure, crucial editing, and hard work 1000% worth it every time. We wouldn't trade this at all EVER!

Congratulations again Jessica + Reed!
