Nick + Taylor

Oh Nothing, Just Love Here...

Have I ever mentioned that we love micro weddings? I mean, really we love ALL of our weddings and couples - but smaller, intimate weddings or elopements are a different kind of fresh air. They are simple and all about the couple! Nothing fancy, just love. Something about that, just speaks to me. I met Taylor through a referral from her photographer Cassidy! We chatted for a bit over text, and of course, were elated when she booked!

We're totally being spoiled with Palm Trees this wedding season and I LOVE it. Here we are on a beautiful and warm afternoon! Taylor and Nick chose to Elope at the cutest nook EVER. A sweet, and character-filled bed + breakfast called the Forsyth Park Inn, Savannah GA. For us, this meant a four-hour road trip up from North Georgia to meet our sweet couple and guests for the day. You know we took the baby with us, so we were absolutely in for a treat with these two! And if you've been reading for a while, then you know we hit up every Hilton we can, but just a day trip this time, no stay! But we had a blast!

This photo absolutely can't do justice to how beautiful and detailed Taylor's dress was. It was simply a stunning dress for an even more stunning bride. I just know Cassidy was having a blast taking her professional photos of it while there!

The character and decor in this place were an absolute dream for us! The lighting, colors and antique integrations were being captured so beautifully on our video cameras. I've honestly never seen anything like it before, I loved this place. So, what style do we call it? Vintage tea parties are all I can think about while taking in the design of the room that Taylor used to get ready in. This is a sweet presentation with adorable nooks. Perfect for those before-ceremony shoots we love the bridal preparation!

The sweet rose-colored trinkets are shining as the star of the show here! But, let's not forget how sweet the something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue tradition is. Taylor's late Grandmother left a very beautiful and sentimental gift for this day to her and it makes the video we'll produce even more valuable to capture the raw emotions that were experienced in the room that day. This tradition had us all teary-eyed pretty much - so pass on all the tissues! Such sweet things to remember.

Before we go, I have to give a vendor shoutout to the officiant and photographer! The officiant (Rev. Steve) greeted everyone with a friendly smile and demeanor. Reverand Steve came in ready to get these two married! His character was totally contagious, so I can see why he's the go-to in town. Additionally, their photographer - Cassidy was amazingly friendly and talented. She was super considerate of us shooting alongside her which is very appreciated. She is also the one who referred us. We are more than grateful for every photographer and wedding vendor who chooses to refer us out to couples. They help to support our business, and we aim to give back and return that favor any chance we can get!

One of my favorite parts to document for the blog is the cake and dessert table. This was by far the most delicious lemon cake I've had in a while. Maybe I should've remembered to grab a slice to go. Ha And don't get me started on the beautiful china they had to serve slices!! Super yum, simply elegant, and beautifully placed. Take me back, okay?!

Every couple that chooses us to capture their forever moments on film adds a notch to our 'blessing belt.' When planning a wedding, you choose to trust so many vendors who were usually once strangers and that says a lot. But, when we deliver films and couples tell us they LOVED IT and CRIED - it makes all of the pressure, crucial editing, and hard work 1000% worth it every time. We wouldn't trade this at all EVER!
