JC + Jeff

Closer With Each Wave...

When we say we'll go wherever your love story takes us, we actually mean somewhere with ocean waves or palm trees during the warmer months. Lol No, but seriously - are you catching the view of this gorgeous beach wedding? JC reached out to me after finding us on Instagram, and since that is not where our brides usually hang out - it was exciting! She went straight to our website and when we chatted, I just knew she was going to be the bride whose mind was already sold on booking us! That feeling never gets old when you know you're chosen. JC and Jeff chose to get married in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina right by the water.

We get booked in South Carolina so much that we might as well start looking for a home there. Most of our couples get married at venues near Myrtle Beach or right by the water! For us, this is about a 4.5-5 hour drive and when you can take in the sites, hang around a while, and capture forever moments on film - we know we'll keep going back. The weather was simply perfect for a beach wedding and I knew it would all turn out beautifully.

I was almost nine months pregnant at this time and kept experiencing labor contractions the night before and the morning of their wedding. I had to choose that morning to not hit the road and prioritize the health of myself and our baby, so I made the tough decision not to travel and Bradley hit the road solo. Bradley (being the primary cinematographer between us) is more than highly capable of shooting solo, so their three-hour specialty coverage was a piece of cake for him! We have never had to cancel a wedding in over eight years of business! So, we are more than blessed and grateful for couples understanding unforeseen events. When Bradlet arrived, he captured JC and her getting ready moments. Her dress was stunning and the background simply made all of the details stand out. I promise this picture does not do justice. Your eyes had to be there. He also worked alongside Haley from Case Photography and working with chill photographers who treat you like a teammate would be the gift that keeps giving!!

Whenever I think of a beach theme; white, tan, blue, and silver hues come to mind. Did they match my thought process? They looked so gorgeous in their robes and those poses never get old to look at!  I think they knocked this out of the park for the beach theme!

The decor was giving off a very romantic, and casual waterfront theme. They didn't overdo it, but they also didn't underdo it, just right! What I loved the most in looking back at this, is that the weather followed suit. Beach weddings can easily be ruined if it is too windy, rainy, or extremely cloudy. They had the best day and the best weather, and let's not forget how cute the ring shots were up against the starfish molds!!!

The ceremony was short and sweet. Before they knew it they were walking down the aisle hand in hand and married 'officially.' Their small guest count made it similar to an elopement-styled wedding and it was so nice getting to see them be so excited for these too. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming to Bradley! Can we do this again? (:

They wrapped up their beach wedding after the ceremony with a sweet couple's photography and videography session. These photos came out so beautifully, and imagine how they looked on video? Immaculate! They are so comfy on camera together!

Every couple that chooses us to capture their forever moments on film adds a notch to our 'blessing belt.' When planning a wedding, you choose to trust so many vendors who were usually once strangers and that says a lot. But, when we deliver films and couples tell us they LOVED IT and CRIED - it makes all of the pressure, crucial editing, and hard work 1000% worth it every time.
