Shay + Hunter

Just Give Me Your Last Name...

Ah, what a breath of fresh air this wedding was. We had been on so many flights recently that a two-hour drive was more than necessary for our lives. No TSA, no luggage, no long lines, no boarding times - just our film equipment and our car! It was so, so sweet!

Shay and Hunter got married at the Vineyard at Howe Farms in Georgetown, Tennessee. The beauty of the owners is that they own 6 wedding venues. Therefore, brides have plenty of options to choose from that would be suitable for their love story. We happily loaded up our car and drove northwest of where we live for a calm two hours and the scenery on the way would be the icing on the cake. Shay booked over Messenger and wanted to capture their first touch and vows.

We almost missed the opportunity to fly the drone because it actually started pouring rain a few minutes after we showed up. Thankfully, the opportunity presented itself later on and we got this beautiful birdseye view of some of the property.

I really never try to take for granted the treat that it is to be in with the bride spending those personal and intimate moments with them before they will become a wife at the altar. Here, I was able to capture Shay reading her love letter that she wrote to Hunter and the special thing is, we got to get her reading his as well. Some laughs were had here though as some of the words he wrote, she couldn't quite make out. I quickly put on my '10-year teaching hat'  and was able to make out his words for her to read on video! Ha!

The decor was so princess and rustic. I absolutely loved it.

The sun shining on everyone's faces honestly makes my heart melt. Cause y'all, it rained with thunder and lightning and poured, poured POURED! The bride cried and prayed and cried some more but it all literally cleared up RIGHT before she was set to walk down the aisle. Her planning team was able to get together really quick to dry all of the seats and make things in tip-top shape for guests to head to the ceremony to sit down. It turned out to be the most beautiful ceremony and I am so glad they got to still have it outdoors!

They did not book for the full night, but we got to stay long enough to see the entrance, and dances between the bridegroom, mother, and father! After this, we happily sat down with the most friendly vendors for dinner before heading out for the night! We had a blast working with Kristina from tintype-photo.com as they were also a husband + wife team that we hope to work with again in the future!

Although we did not stay long enough to eat it, we were there long enough to get it on video, and boy did these look sweet! I love how their big day turned out seriously!

Every couple that chooses us to capture their forever moments on film adds a notch to our 'blessing belt.' When planning a wedding, you choose to trust so many vendors who were usually once strangers and that says a lot. But, when we deliver films and couples tell us they LOVED IT and CRIED - it makes all of the pressure, crucial editing, and hard work 1000% worth it every time. We wouldn't trade this!
