With You, I'm Home...

Stefy reached out to me on Facebook a few months before her wedding to inquire about our wedding videography services. We got on a long video call and I walked away feeling really warm after she said that she watched several of our wedding films and got emotional. We love a bride who can see and value the stories we tell through our wedding videos. If you are unaware by now, we actually travel for about 85%+ of our wedding events. Couples find us online from all over and we will honestly go wherever your love story will take us! We've always loved to travel and getting to do that while documenting a love story is just the icing on the cake these days. We enjoy it to the fullest extent!

Stefy and Nick chose to get married in Saint Paul, Minnesota, so we flew into Minneapolis for the weekend for them. This was our first time visiting Minnesota and we got to stay on the 17th floor of the DoubleTree by Hilton St Paul downtown. We had a spacious room with a nice view of parts of the city, but I was spooked by the fact that the city appeared to have some "Walking Dead" vibes. I only say that because ...what was there to do? Where were the people? The streets on our block were very quiet and deserted. Being an NYC native, I found it to be the most quiet and calm city I've visited in my life. But, we did walk around to find that there were a lot of yummy eateries and parks nearby. We also made our way to the Mall of America and were disappointed that we didn't bring the baby on this trip. The amusement park centered in the mall would have been perfect for him!

Enough about us and our stay though and onto the unraveling of this sweet day. We started filming at the Willows on the River Resort in Lake City, Minnesota to begin capturing some getting-ready footage. The best part about being a husband and wife team when we shoot together is splitting up so that everyone is comfortable. I spend those intimate moments with the ladies and Bradley will stick with the guys!

I arrived with more than enough time to capture this beautiful dress hanging near the back deck of the condo overlooking the water. It always looks so amazing on camera. Then, I was able to capture these amazing overlay pieces together by Chelsea from Chelsea Reeck Photography which also looked amazing on video. Teamwork for the win!

Once we gathered enough b-roll for getting-ready footage, we quickly scoped out a location nearby for Stefy + Nick to do their first look! That was so sweet as they read letters to each other by the water and took a few photos with both parties!

They had their catholic mass ceremony at the St Patrick's Cathedral in Township, MN. It was very well thought out and executed. The officiant and musicians did an amazing job carrying all of it out.

Following the beautiful mass and their bubble exit, we headed to the Lake City Sportsman Club for the reception. This was an intimate space with such unique nooks!

This was the first reception in 8 years that I've seen these decorative letters be used as trays for the charcuterie appetizers to be displayed for guests to enjoy. How unique was that? Delicious too.

The color palettes they chose really came together in these interactive display tables. I could tell that Stefy and her family did an amazing job crafting the details of their day!

Look at this beautiful cake! We did not stay long enough into the reception to participate in what I'm sure was so tasty regarding cake, but we snagged one of those delicious cupcakes!

To wrap up the day, we were shoulder to shoulder with Chelsea who was a great photographer to partner with for the day! This sweet couple's session by the water was everything.
